For patients: what this protocol means
AlgOss® is a bone graft material made from marine red algae. It acts as a scaffold that holds space while your own bone grows into the area. On these pages you will see the clinical workflow our surgeons follow - cleaning the defect, placing the graft, covering it with a membrane (with 2-3 mm overlap onto healthy bone), fixing that protection in place, and closing without tension. The goal is a protected healing environment before implants are planned.
